glorious spring wishes

Hi Everyone!  I've been busy working on some things that I can't share yet, but I had this card that I hadn't shared here yet.  I made this card for the May Stampavie newsletter.  The next newsletter will come out in July so be sure to sign up to receive it (it's free!).  The image is called Oh Happy Day and it's from the Laurence Collection.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from Echo Park's Springtime Collection.

The image was stamped on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored with copic markers.  I used these markers: T3, T5, R20, RV32, RV34, V95, V99, RV29, Y35, Y38, YR14, W1, W3, W5, W7. W9. E33, E35. E37, YG93. YG95, BG10, colorless blender.  I die cut the image with a rectangle nestability die.  I finished off my card with some buttons, some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some punched leaves (using Martha Steward Leaf Frond punch), and a sentiment from Waltzingmouse's Spring Baskets stamp set.

Hi Everyone!  It's my turn to share a card again today over on the Stampavie Design Team blog and I thought I would share this card I created with the new Blossom Birds stamp from Penny Johnson's vintage collection.  It's such a pretty image and it works really well for non-vintage projects, too.

I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  Then, I colored it with copic markers.  I used these copic markers: E31, E33, Y35, Y38, YR16, YG17, YG63, YG67, BG70, BG72, BG75, BG000, R11, R14, colorless blender.  After coloring my image, I die cut it with a rectangle nestability die.  I used some patterned papers from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop paper pad.  I stitched my patterned papers, added a sentiment from Catslife Press and some self adhesive pearls that I colored with a copic marker.

My {heart} Belongs to You

I created this card last week for my post over on the Stampavie blog, but haven't had a chance to share it here yet.  Stampavie has so many adorable stamps that I always have a hard time choosing which image to use next.  I’ve been using a lot of stamps lately from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection so I decided to pull out one of the older stamps that I haven’t had a chance to use yet.  I finally decided on this adorable image from Tina Wenke called Mice Kissing.


I just love this image!  I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from Jillibean Soup’s Blossom Soup paper pad and colored it with copic markers.  I die cut my image with a Labels 8 nestability die and added lots of stitching.  I used a sentiment from Verve Stamps' Love Notes stamp set.

happy birthday

I'm still taking some time off from stamping, but I have a couple more cards I can share still.  Do you subscribe to the Stampavie newsletter?  Every couple months, there is a newsletter released.  The style of the newsletter is like reading a magazine.  There are lots of beautiful cards from the design team along with full supply lists.  It's a great resource and lots of fun to read!  If you missed the May issue, you can still download it here.  You can sign up to receive the newsletter here if you don't already.


This is one of the cards that I created for the newsletter.  I used the Little Rascals image illustrated by Penny Johnson.  One of the things that I love about Stampavie is that they have such cute images for girls and boys!  It can be so difficult to find great boy images.  I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from My Mind's Eye.  I used a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps and finished my card off with lots of stitching and a button.  (You can read the full supply list in the newsletter.)

Spring has Sprung

Is everyone having a good week?  It's hard to believe that May is already half over!  Hopefully, you're having some nice weather where you are.  We've had a couple nice days here and I'm hoping they stay for a while.  I'm definitely ready for spring.  I shared this card over on the Stampavie blog earlier this month, but haven't had a chance to share it here on my blog until today.  I use the cute Spring has Sprung image from the Laurence Collection for my card. 

Isn't that such an adorable image?!  I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.   I colored the image with copic markers and used some patterned papers from Echo Park's Life is Good line.  I used a sentiment from Waltzingmouse's Spring Baskets stamp set and die cut it with one of the banner dies from Spellbinders.  I finished off my card with lots of stitching, some pink buttons, some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some leaves punched with the leaf frond punch from Martha Stewart.

treat yourself

Hi Everyone!  It’s my turn to share a card again over on the Stampavie blog.   It has been way too long since I used one of the adorable images from Tina Wenke so I pulled out the Mouse Holding Ice Cream image to create my card today.  Tina has such a way with adorable animal images!

I stamped my image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  I used these markers:
mouse: W1, W3, W5, W7, R20, B95, B97, B99
bowl: B000, B00, B01
ice cream: YG63, YG67, R30, R32, R27, R89, E50, E51, E53, E44, E47, E49, Y32, Y35
shadow: W1
I used some patterned papers from Pink Paislee’s 365 Degrees line and a sentiment from Verve Stamps' Celebrating You stamp set.  I finished my card off with lots of stitching and a couple red buttons.

My daughter turned five years old last week.  When I was deciding what image to use for her birthday card, I came across this Stampavie Birthday Fairy Lee image from Mo Manning and it was perfect!

I paired the image with some patterned papers from My Mind’s Eye’s Just Dreamy 2 line.  I stamped my image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  I die cut the image with a petite oval nestability die.  Then, I colored it with copic markers.  I used these marker colors: W1, W3, E33, E35, E37, BG11, BG13, BG18, Y35, R00, R02, R27, R29, R46, R89, E00, E21, E11, R12, colorless blender.  Then, I put my image back in the die and drew around the inside with a black pen.

I stitched my layers together and wrapped some cream crocheted lace and red satin ribbon around them before adhering them to my card base with glue dots.  Then, I added a red scalloped oval (die cut with a petite scalloped oval nestability die) to my image and adhered my image and sentiment (from Catslife Press) to my card with foam adhesive.  I added some prima roses and some greenery punched with a Martha Stewart branch punch.

I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add a little sparkle to my fairy’s dress and wings and to the stars and sprinkles on the cupcake.

Congratulations

It seems like this school year is already rushing by.  Before we know it, we’ll be congratulating all those kids (and adults) in our lives who are graduating from school.  The adorable Catgrad image from Stampavie's Mo Manning line is the perfect image for graduation cards.  Isn’t this such a cute image?! 


I paired the image with some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Report Card line.  I stamped the image on Copic X-Press It cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  I used these copic markers to color my image: W1, W3, W5, W7, E51. E53. E55. R27, R29, B34, B37, B39.  I die cut my image with a rectangle nestability die.  I stitched my patterned papers together and wrapped some twine from my etsy shop around them.  I added a few buttons and then adhered my papers to my card base.  Last, I added my image and sentiment to my card with some foam adhesive. That great sentiment is from Catslife Press.

I shared this card a while back on the Stampavie blog, but I haven't gotten around to sharing it here until now.  I created this card using this adorable image from Tina Wenke called Hedgehog Reading.  I always love Tina’s images and this one is definitely no exception.  I absolutely love this image!  I paired it with some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Report Card line and a text print from Making Memories.  I stamped the image tuxedo black memento ink on copic x-press it cardstock.  Then, I colored my image with copic markers and added lots of stitching and some buttons.

Happy Easter

It's my turn to post over on the Stampavie design team blog.  When I sat down to create a card earlier this week for my post tonight, I had a hard time choosing which of the new images to use (there are so many cute new images!).  Since Easter is just around the corner, I decided I had to use this adorable image from Penny Johnson called Easter Chick.  It’s such an adorable image and just perfect for Easter!


I stamped my image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  Then, I colored it with copic markers (E50, E51, E53, Y35, Y38, YR16, R43, R46, YG17, YG67, B52).  I diecut the the image with a circle nestability die.  I cut a mask using eclipse masking tape and sprayed the image with a B52 copic marker and my air compressor while the image was still in the die.  I paired the image with some patterned paper from Basic Grey’s Urban Prairie line.  Then, I distressed the edges of my papers with antique linen distress ink from Ranger.  I added lots of stitching and rounded the top corners with a corner chomper.  I also changed the color of my white paper doily by spraying it with some Wheatfields Glimmer Mist.  I added a couple buttons and a sentiment from Catslife Press.  I adhered the image and sentiment with foam adhesive.
