Tonight, I have a card to share that I just love. I don't usually say that about my own cards, but I love everything about how this card turned out from the color combo and patterns to the sketch itself.
I started out by stamping Damask Designs in black ink on lemon tart cardstock. I love the yellow and black together. Once I had my stamped pattern, I had to choose a color combo for my card. I decided upon lemon tart, black, hawaiian shores, kraft, and vintage cream. Just a small touch of hawaiian shores cardstock (available March 15th) makes all the other colors just pop. I used a piece of vintage sheet music as my second pattern for my card. I cut my circles for my sentiment. Then, I die cut my butterfly and stamped the butterfly from Butterfly Dreams it in tuxedo black ink. After coloring my butterfly with copic markers, I sponged the tea dye inks and dark chocolate ink around the edges of my stamped patterned cardstock, sheet music, sentiment circle, and butterfly die cut. A little crocheted lace and hawaiian shores stitched ribbon finish off my card.
I have been thinking about offering some crocheted lace in my etsy store or on my blog. Is this something some of you might be interested in? Have a fabulous weekend!
Niki

The color combinations are beautiful and I do like the sketch. I also like brown on yellow; if you haven't yet, try it sometime! I think offering crocheted lace in your store is a great idea. Oftentime when I buy a bit at the fabric shop, it's either too narrow or too wide, or for some other reason, doesn't seem to work. With your expertise at "balancing" your cards, you'd probably be able to offer just what we need! Thanks for continuing to share with us and inspire us. :)

You always give me great new ideas. I really like this card. I would be interested in some of the crocheted lace if you are going to offer it up for sale.

Really like the black stamped on the lemon tart! Do you crochet the lace yourself?

Niki, I've had the same problems that Gabby has had. When I look for crocheted lace, it's too big or very small. I'd love for you to offer lace on your etsy. I'd be one of the first to buy it. It would be nice if you offered it in 3yd. lengths. That way it would last a little longer. White and cream (off white). I wish I had some of my grandmothers lace that she crocheted.

Your card is beautiful! I love the colors and the added sheet music to it. Just bought a book from the thrift store filled with sheet music. What fun I'll have with that! And I love lace. I'll keep checking to see if you do add some to your Esty shop.

Niki, this is such a beautiful card... I love the vintage music. Where do you find such paper? Those colors go strikingly well together...such a well-crafted card! :)

I'd like lace if it was vintage or handmade. And I'd love some deeper brown colours even chocolate. I already find white and ivory as well as a dark ivory fairly easy to find.

Lovely card, Niki. You should make some for your Etsy shop. Could you show a picture of the lace you are considering selling (not on a card, I mean).
