I am so excited to get to share a sneak peek at the new Home Made template and Home Made stamp set that coordinates with the template.    I knew it would be so much fun to create one of these cute little houses as soon as I saw the template and stamp set!  Nichole asked each of us on the design team to create a house and a card using the stamp set and template.  Oh my goodness, the ladies have knocked it out of the park with this one!  All of the houses are so cute!  Okay, here is a sneak peek of the house I created:

 
I seriously had so much fun creating this house!  I wanted to create a holiday house that would be perfect to give some goodies to a hostess during the holiday season.  I filled mine with Ghirardelli chocholates, but the possibilities are endless.

I wanted to create a card that would coordinate with my house so I chose the same color scheme and style.  I used one of the stamps from Background Basics: Retro to stamp my kraft cardstock.  Then, I sponged the edges with dark chocolate ink.  I think it looks fairly similar to the shingles on the roof of the house.  I wrapped the pure poppy stitched ribbon around the kraft cardstock and stitched around the edges before adhering the piece to my card base.  I stamped the sentiment on my card and the door on white cardstock.  I colored the door with copic markers, cut it out, and adhere it to my kraft circle and pure poppy scalloped circle (both cut with nestability dies).  I used foam adhesive to adhere the circle to my card.  Then, I added a pure poppy bow, button, and some flower soft below the door.

Season's Greetings

Just a quick post tonight with a quick and easy card.  I created this card about a month ago and hadn't posted it yet.  There's no stamping.  I used one of the Flower Soft  Cute Christmas - Festive Teddies toppers and lots of polar white flower soft.  The little bird flying with the sentiment is from the Cute Christmas diecut sentiment set that you can punch out to use as accents on your cards or scrapbook pages.  I thought it was perfect for this topper.

Happy Winter

The November release stamps are now officially available at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, including four new images from the Crissy's Cuties line, four new images from the Moonlight Whispers line, and a new set of sentiments, called Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments (which includes 44 sentiments!).  To celebrate the new release, we are having a fun blog hop with lots of beautiful creations using the new stamps.  And, as if all that inspiration isn't enough, everyone is giving away a little blog candy, too!  Be sure to leave a comment on each blog stop and check the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog on Monday to see if you're one of lucky winners.

I had to use this adorable Antoinette image on one of my sneak peek cards.  Isn't she adorable?!  She's so happy and fun!  I paired her with some My Mind's Eye Be Merry patterned papers and some SU Taken with Teal cardstock.  The buttons are snowflake buttons stacked on spring moss buttons.  I love how they look!

I colored Antoinette with copic markers.  Then, I added some polar white flower soft for some snow along the edge of my "frozen pond," which I covered with dimensional glaze so it resembles real ice.

warm thoughts

Warm thoughts being sent your way!  (And I need warm thoughts, I am not adjusting to the cold weather yet and have been so cold lately!)  Anyway, I have a card to share today with some of the stamps from the winter kit from Whiff of Joy Stamps.  (They were available for pre-order earlier this fall and will be available for purchase this weekend).  I stamped Willow on white cardstock, masked her, and then stamped the sleigh with presents so she was sitting on the end of the sleigh.

I colored her with copic markers and sponged the edges with antique linen distress ink and some dark chocolate ink.  Then, I stamped swirls (from the new set by Sonja releasing this weekend also) in dark chocolate ink.  I added a mat, distressed the edges with a pair of scissors, and added some polar white flower soft to the bottom of the image.  Then, I cut all my pieces, sponged the edges with ink, stitched them and distressed them.  I stamped the sentiment (from the winter kit) on white cardstock, cut it out with a label die, sponged the edges with ink.  I added a mat layer, distressed the edges, and adhered it to my card with some decorative brads.  Finally, I assembled all the layers of my card.  I just love how this card turned out with all the sponged ink, stitching, and distressed layers.  Not to mention the beautiful images by Elizabeth Bell!  I don't know the exact name of the stamps so I will edit this post with the names after the release.

happy Christmas

I have to share my happy news before I get to sharing my card.  Smokey finally showed up on our front porch this morning!!  I am so happy and relieved.  It has been so hard having him missing.  It had been a week and very cold here at night so I didn't think we would see him again.  They are my fur babies and it has been so hard having him gone.  I heard a meowing at the front door around noon and figured it was Otis, our other cat.  I opened the door and there was Smokey!  He was a little gaunted up and hungry, but otherwise doing fine.  I think he was probably accidentally shut in somewhere.  I have no idea where.  We have been all over our neighborhood for blocks around asking everyone if they'd seen him.  I am just so happy he is back!  Thank you to everyone who was thinking of us! 

 
Can you believe it's already release night at Papertrey Ink?  Man, the months just seem to be flying by this year.  So many cute stamp sets released tonight!  I already got to share some peeks at Vintage Ornaments and it's Additions set along with Take Note.  Tonight, I'm sharing one of the cards I created with Heather's new Holiday Tree set.  I just love that cute little snowman!

I stamped the snowman on kraft cardstock and cut him out.  Then, I stamped the trees and the snowman's arms on my image panel.  I layered my cut out snowman over the arms, sponged fresh snow ink on the edges, added a pure poppy layer, and some polar white flower soft.  Then, I cut the rest of my layers, added some stitching, and more fresh snow ink .  I love that frosty look you get by swiping a fresh snow ink pad along the edges of kraft cardstock.  The white ink the Holiday Vintage Prints patterned paper was a little too bright for my card so I toned it down a little with one of the tea dye duo inks.

Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun

Are you ready for some more fun sneak peeks?!  I am excited to get to start sharing some sneak peeks of the first release of stamps from Wags 'n Whiskers!  You can preorder your stamps from the first release starting this Friday.  Crissy Armstrong drew the stamps so you know they are going to be adorable! *wink*

Today, I am sharing a sneak peek at the new Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun image.  I just love this image!  Aren't they cute?!  Reminds me of my daughter and how badly she wants to make a snowman even though the snow has all melted away now.  The image is a fairly good size so I went with a simple sketch for my card.

I colored the image with copic markers and added ivory flower soft to Zoe's hat and the snowman's hat, and polar white flower soft for the snow.

Happy Fall

 

Is it fall yet?  The weather here sure seems like it.  It's cold every night, but just about right during the day.  School is going well.  My son is enjoying it so far.  And I actually got some time to stamp this morning.  Been a pretty good day! 

I created this card a while ago, but hadn't had a chance to take a photo of it until today.  I was in the fall mood and decided to pull out one of my cute little Riley stamps and some autumn flower soft to create a card.  I stamped the pumpkins from 2009 Autumn Tags and then inked the edges of my card.  I also inked the edge of my patterned paper.  I colored my Riley image with copic markers and added the autumn flower soft under him.  While my image was drying, I stamped my sentiment using Borders and Corners: Circles and a sentiment from 2009 Autumn Tags.

nothing better than a true friend

Wow, I can't believe it's been awhile since I posted!  I have been busy with family stuff and did not had any time to stamp last week except for working on Papertrey Ink release stuff that I can't share yet.  

Saturday, we went to visit with my grandma who had come up for her class reunion and we got to see one of my younger sisters and her family.  They are moving to Montana next week (she got a teaching job over there) so we won't be seeing them very much once the snow starts to fly.  It was good to get to visit a little before they move. 

Yesterday, my husband, our kids, and I went for a ride out in the woods on the motorcycles and had a picnic.  My son loves trains so we took him to see the old train trestles from when they logged with trains out in the woods.  The trestles are falling down and there isn't much left of one of them (one was actually in pretty good shape still for how old they are), but it's fun to go look at them and talk about the way people used to do things.

Just a super quick card to share tonight.  I used one of the small flower soft toppers to create this little 3 x 5 card.  I simply stamped my sentiment on the card, added an aqua mist mat and some Shamrock Green Flower Soft before adhering it to my card base with foam adhesive.  Quick and easy.

Unassembled snowmen

It's the first of August (how did that happen?!), which means that it's time for the Flower Soft design team challenge.  This month, Jennifer challenged us to use one of the flower soft toppers, a fun and easy challenge!  Since the new Christmas toppers are all perforated, it's very easy to pop out all the pieces and assemble them with foam adhesive.

I added some polar white flower soft to the spots of snow on the trees and below the children.  Love the sparkle and texture it adds!  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Made of Snow stamp set.

Winter fun

 

I am so excited because I get to share some sneak peeks of the new High Hopes release!  (New stamps will be available for sale Saturday night or Sunday morning.)  Oh my goodness, there are so many adorable new stamps!  Just wait until you see them all!  One of the themes for this release is Christmas in July.  I had to ink up this adorable bear as one of my first images.  Isn't he so cute!?!

I chose some Be Merry patterned papers from My Mind's Eye along with some hibiscus burst and dark chocolate cardstock.  I used a dotted wave border punch across the bottom.  (Bev has these available in the store.)

 

I stamped my skiing bear on white cardstock and colored him with copic markers that coordinate with my patterned paper.  Then, I masked the image and sprayed the sky using a copic marker and my air compressor.  Then, I added some dimensional glaze to the bear's nose and ski goggles and some polar white flower soft to the bottom of my image.  Love that stuff!
