Whimsy Stamps Elisabeth Bell Stamp Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps BLOG HOP!

On Monday, we announced the wonderful news that Whimsy Stamps has welcomed the amazing Elisabeth Bell to our family of Whimsy Stamps artists. Whimsy Stamps is releasing 4 new Elisabeth Bell Little Cottage Cuties rubber stamps today and these new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

The Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests have been previewing these beautiful stamps for the past 2 days, and today we are celebrating their release with a BLOG HOP! The hop starts today (Wednesday March 7th at 12.00PM EST) and ends on Wednesday March 14th at 12.00PM EST.

For this hop we have five different prize draws! One lucky hopper will win the entire new release of ALL four stamps. We also have four mini candy stops throughout the hop where you can enter to win a new release stamp! We're not telling you where they are, so be sure to complete the hop to find them!

For my card today, I decided to use the adorable Apple Blossom image.  They are all so cute so it was difficult to choose which one to use next, but eventually this little darling won out.  I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  I die cut the image and kraft layer behind it with Labels One and Labels One Small nestability dies.  I used some patterned papers from Echo Park's This and That Graceful paper pad.

Sometimes, I like to get out supplies I haven't used in a while and just play.  I love the look of white paint on kraft cardstock.  So, I dabbed some white paint (blank canvas from Claudine Hellmuth) on the edges of my kraft cardstocks using one of the Claudine Hellmuth paint brushes (great quality) before stitching my layers.  I used a red copic marker and my air compressor to spray the white crocheted lace from May Arts.  (I wanted it to stand out a little more against the patterned paper.)  Like on my card yesterday, I used a sentiment from the Summer Letter Seals stamp set.  I finished off my card with some tiny pearls and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (20mm red open roses, 25mm red open roses, 15mm red open roses, and 4mm red closer rose buds).  I'm also entering this card in the Wild Orchid Crafts Get in Shape challenge.

Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone!  It’s hard to believe it is already December.  Christmas will be here before we know it!  For my post today, I thought I would pull out another one of the Christmas images from Stampavie.  This image is called Gifts for You and is from Penny Johnson.

I used some patterned papers from Echo Park’s Season’s Greetings line and some crocheted lace from May Arts.  I added some buttons and baker’s twine along with a little Christmas tree charm.


I used a sentiment from Tina Wenke’s Holiday Wishes sentiment set.  I stamped the image and sentiment on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  Then, I colored the image with these copic markers: R24, R27, R46, R89, Y35, E79, E31, E33, E35, E37, E29, E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02, BG10, BG11, BG13, W1, W3, YG93, YG95, YG97, E51, E53, colorless blender.   After coloring my image, I sponged some antique linen and tea dye distress inks around the edges of my image.


Then, I added some white fun flock to Santa’s cap and the cuffs of his coat using a Sakura Glue Pen.  I used a gelly roll pen (from Sakura) to add a little sparkle to the stars and snowflakes.  Then, I adhered my image with foam adhesive.

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone!  I made this card earlier this month to share over on the Stampavie blog.  I had to choose an image to use first.  (There are so many adorable Stampavie images that it can be hard to choose which one to use next!)  I decided to pull out this adorable Penguin and Tree image by Gillian Roberts.

I just love cute little penguin stamps and this one is definitely cute!  I used some patterned paper from Echo Park’s Season’s Greetings paper pad.  I added some bells and a silver filigree corner from Wild Orchid Crafts and some baker’s twine from my etsy shop.

I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  I colored it using these copic markers: C6, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, T5, E31, E33, Y35, Y38, YR18, E23, E25, E27, E29, BG53, R27, R46, R89, BG0000, BG000, colorless blender.  I die cut the image using a rectangle nestability die and then stitched it to a red cardstock layer.  I added some white fun flock to the penguin’s cap and some polar white flower soft below the image.  I also used some spica pens to add some glitter to the ornaments and star on the Christmas tree.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley's Grunge Christmas Postmarks stamp set.

Have a Spooktacular Halloween

I had to squeeze in just one more cute Halloween card before Halloween.  I just love this adorable image, Abracadabra, from Lili of the Valley.  It’s perfect for Halloween as well as just fun for birthday cards, boy cards, etc.  I used some patterned paper from Echo Park’s Halloween line from last year.

I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  I used these colors:
skin: E000, E00, E11, E13
clothes: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, V93, V95, V99, T3, T5, T7, T9, Y35, YR04, YR07, W1, W3
bear: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29
book: Y26, YG93, YG97, YG99, W1, W3
ground: E33, E35, E37
background: Y21, (E37 – speckles)

I cut the image out with a circle nestability die.  After coloring the image, I masked it while it was still in the die.  Then, I sprayed the background behind the image with a Y21 marker and my air compressor.  I sprayed the ground using an E37 marker.  I ended up with some over spray so I just embraced it and added a little more.  I kind of like the speckles it added to the background.  I finished the card off with some buttons and baker’s twine.  The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Best Witches

I'm having a hard time believing how quickly this month is flying by (the whole year really).  I figured I better pull out this cute little witch image from Stampavie (called Magical Meg) because Halloween will be here before I know it!  She was part of the Christmas release this summer that also had a few Halloween and fall images thrown in.


I colored her with copic markers (sorry I didn't write down the markers today) and cut her out with a rectangle nestability die.  I sponged some antique linen, tea dye, and walnut stain distress inks around the edges while the image was still in the die.  I used some patterned papers from Echo Park's Halloween line from last year and that great sentiment is from Catslife Press (part of their recent release).

Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release Day 2

Welcome to Day Two of the Waltzingmouse Stamps September release sneak peeks!  Today, we are showcasing the wonderful new Say It Loud Autumn/Winter set.  I absolutely love the is set!  The font is just perfect.  For my card, I used two of the large words in the set.  I love how you have the option of combining the larger words with the smaller words or just using two larger words or two smaller words.  It really makes the set versatile so you can use it for what you need.

I die cut the sentiment using a labels nestability die and sponged some antique linen distress ink around the edges while it was still in the die.  Then, I stitched my patterned papers before adhering them.  I used foam adhesive to adhere my sentiment and created the floral arrangements using white aster daisies, 30mm large white wild rose, 25mm deep red open roses, and double end red holly (all from Wild Orchid Crafts).

Christmas Wishes Sent to You

I started this card last week and finally had the chance to finish it up yesterday.  Things have been really hectic since my kids started school.  Hopefully, we’ll settle into a routine soon.

Anyway, this adorable image is called Twinkling Star and is one of the new images that Lili of the Valley released earlier this month.  I used some patterned papers from Echo Park’s Life is Good line (not a Christmas line, but I liked these papers for a Christmas card).  I used some cream lace from my etsy shop along with some brads from my stash and some seam binding that I dyed. 

It’s so easy to dye white seam binding to any color you need.  Just add a little water to a small container, add some drops of reinker, and stir.  Cut your seam binding to length and drop it into the container and swirl it around (I used my paper piercer).  You can add a few more drops of reinker to get it just the color you need.  I used sweet blush and creme brulee dye reinkers from Close to My Heart.  Then, remove the seam binding using your paper piercer so you don’t dye your fingers.  Set it on a paper towel and fold it in the middle to help remove the extra moisture.  Let it dry a bit and add it to your project.

I colored my image with these copic markers on copic x-press it cardstock: R46, R20, R21, R22, E33, E35, E37, E23, E25, E27, Y35, E000, E00, E11, E13, R12, BG10, colorless blender.  I used a sentiment from Lili of the Valley’s Christmas Circular Sentiments set.

(Sorry, this isn’t the best photo.  I’m hoping you can see the sparkle and flocking I added to the image.)  I added some white fun flock to her clothes, some white flower soft under her feet as snow, some glossy accents to the falling snow, and used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle to the stars.

LOTV Sneak Peek - Little Trumpet

Hi Everyone!  I have a sneak peek to share of one of the new images releasing from Lili of the Valley on Sept 6th.  There are so many adorable images in the new release!  Just wait until you see them all!

 
On my card, I used the beautiful new Little Trumpet image.  I just love this image!   The new angel images are all so pretty in this release.

I used some patterned papers from Echo Park’s Wintertime line and added lots of stitching.  I used some crocheted lace from May Arts and these flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts: deep red 8mm semi open roses, deep red 4mm rose buds, deep red 15mm open roses, and deep red 25mm hybrid tea roses.

  
I colored the image with copic markers on copic x-press it cardstock.  I used these colors: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20, E33, E35, E37, B93, B95, B97, Y35, Y38, R46, YG95, BG000, colorless blender. After stitching around my image, I added some glitter to her wings and a couple red brads in the corner.  I used a sentiment from the Circular Christmas Sentiments set.

Happy Bear-Day!

It's time for another High Hopes challenge.  The new challenge is Anything Goes.  (So there's no excuse not to play along!)  I pulled out the adorable Standing Birthday Buddy image along with the Happy Bear-Day sentiment for my card.

I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and die cut it with an oval nestability die.  I used some patterned paper from Echo Park's Sweet Summertime line.  I colored the image with these copic markers: R20, R21, R22, R24, E31, E33, E35, E37. E29, W3, W5, W7, W9, R27, R46. R89. BG45, BG05, BG07, YG17, colorless blender.  While the image was still in the die, I sprayed the clouds using a copic marker and my air compressor.  I added some stitching and finished my card off with some 5mm pearls, 25mm rose leaves, white sweetheart blossoms, and 2 tone red/white cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I'm also playing along with the current Wild Orchid Crafts challenge which is "Beary Special."

Happy Christmas

Did everyone get a chance to pick up some of the new Christmas images from Lili of the Valley?   It’s so hard to choose a favorite because they are all so cute!  Lili of the Valley offers free shipping worldwide on orders over 25 pounds (currency not weight) which is about $40.

I have a card to share today using the new Feathered Friends image.  It’s such a sweet image.  I used some patterned papers from the Everybody Loves Christmas line from Echo Park and added lots of stitching.  I used these flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts: White Hellebores, 25mm Wild Red Roses, 15mm Open White Roses, 8mm Semi-Open Red Roses, and 4mm Closed Red Rosebuds.

 
I colored the image with these copic markers: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, YG17, YG63, YG67, B34, B37, R24, R29, R46, R89, Y38, E55, E57, E59, E81, E87, BG000, BG01, BG02, R02, E33, E35, E37, E25, E29, colorless blender.  While the image was still in the rectangle nestability die, I lightly sprayed around the edges with a blue copic marker and my air compressor.   I added some white fun flock to her hat and coat using a Quickie Glue Pen and some white flower soft below their feet using Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue. 

I used a sentiment from the Happy Circular Sentiments stamp set and framed it with some flowers.  I adhere my flowers using the Aleene’s glue, too.

 
I decorated the inside of my card to coordinate with the outside using the same patterned papers.  I added a sentiments from the A5 Verses stamp set and red poinsettia from Wild Orchid Crafts.
