Hi Everyone!  Have you been busy with Holiday stuff?  We did a lot of fun stuff this past weekend including visiting Santa, going to the light parade, riding around town in barrels pulled by a four wheeler, setting up our Christmas Lego set, and decorating our house and tree.  We are definitely in the mood for the Christmas season! :)

Today, I thought I would share some Christmas cards that my children made.

My son made this card using the Candy Jar Christmas set from Waltzingmouse Stamps and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

My son used the 2011 Holiday Ornaments set from Waltzingmouse Stamps on this card.

My daughter made this card using the same Candy Jar Christmas set and sentiment that my son used on the first card.

trick or treat from my son

My son made this cute little Halloween card that I just had to share.  He loves to stamp and make cards.  He's getting pretty good at it, too.  I think one of his favorite parts might be when he gets to use my copic markers!  He got frustrated when he tried to add shading with his crayola markers so I let him use my copics.  The stamps are from A Cottage Home and Hocus Pocus from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I love the smoke coming from the chimney and the light in the windows.

Halloween cards by my kids

My children love to color images and create cards.  So I usually stamp extra images for them when I stamp one for myself.  When I was creating my Witchy Poo card last month for a High Hopes challenge they wanted to create cards, too.  I love getting to stamp and create cards with them.  They come up with some really cute ideas!

My daughter (5 years old) created this card.  Thet both used the Witchy Poo & Kitty image and some die cute from mh Halloween papers (from My Mind's Eye - it's an older line, but one of my favorite Halloween lines).  Pink is her favorite color and I love that she used it on her image even though it's not a traditional Halloween color.
  My son (7 years old) created this card.  He used some of the die cuts and a sentiment from High Hopes and a scrap sentiment that I made when playing around with the CTMH Wicked set that never made it to a project.  He also had me air brush the background to create the fog look because he liked it on one of my cards..  He is my biggest supporter by far and I love that he loves my cards.  He is getting to be a great card maker and is a great artist.  He even won a county-wide drawing contest last year!  I love seeing his drawings!

some cards from my kids

Today, my kids participated in a kids challenge over on SCS.  The challenge was to create a card with 9 elements.  They had so much fun!  Here are the cards they created:

My 4 yr old daughter created this card. She loves pink! :) She picked everything for her card and looked at some of my cards to decided how she wanted to put everything together. I helped her with the stamping, tying ribbon, and cutting pieces. Her 9 elements are:
light pink patterned paper
dark pink patterned paper

pink rhinestones
pink ribbon
pink buttons
sentiment
pink glitter on the flower on the kitty's head

My 7 year old son made this card. He picked everything for his card. I helped him with the stamping and cutting pieces. He came up with the idea to layer the buttons and put them on the ribbon. I think I'm going to have to use that idea some time! His 9 elements are:

Cards for Delia

Dustin Pike posted a request on Sunday for cards to help brighten a little girl's day.  Delia has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and is currently being treated at the Denver's Children Hospital.  These type of requests always break my heart.  It's so sad to think of anyone fighting these awful diseases let alone innocent little children.  Cards to help brighten a child's day when they are so sick is definitely a small request that help boost their spirits so much.  Dustin offered three digital images for us to use in our cards since Delia loves owls, photography, and art.  You can read more about the details on Dustin's blog here.

I used one of Dustin's adorable owl images to create this card for Delia.  I paired the image with some patterned paper from the Urban Prairie line from Basic Grey and an ocean tides polka dot paper from Papertrey Ink (cut with the new small scalloped border die).  Then, I colored the image with copic markers.  Some stitching and a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink) finish everything off.

My son also wanted to create a card for Delia and used one of the other images offered by Dustin.  I love that he wanted to create a card for a kid he doesn't know because she is sick.
