It's hard to believe the June release at Papertrey Ink has already come! But I'm always excited for release night so I can start sharing some of the cards I've been creating. I think I say it every month, but I love the Year of Flowers stamp line so they always end up being one of my favorite sets from each release and this release is no different. The Year of Flowers: Roses set has some of the prettiest flowers. I just love them!
Anyway, my card design was very simple. I stamped the open rose and leaves on white cardstock and colored them with copic markers. Then, I cut them out. I random stamped the closed rose on my vintage cream cardstock with dark chocolate ink. Then, I sponged the edges of my vintage cream circle and my stamped rose paper with the tea dye duo inks and dark chocolate ink. Afterwards, I ran the rose stamped paper and the vintage cream circle through my cuttlebug with the linen impression plate. I added some stitching as a final touch and assembled all the pieces of my card.
You can see the linen impression on the two pieces better in this photo. I love the subtle texture it adds without taking anything away from the rose as the focal point of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Niki
