It's been awhile since I got to play along in one of the SCS challenges, but I got a chance this morning to make a card for today's sketch challenge. I had to use the cute little Cupcake Collection stamp set again.
I decided to use berry sorbet, summer sunrise, and new leaf as my color combo with a little bit of scarlet jewel thrown in. I love these colors for summer! I stamped the small rectangle with Background Basics: Spots & Dots and scarlet jewel ink. I cut my long rectangle out using a nestability die. Then, while the vintage cream paper was still in the die, I sprayed the it with a copic marker and my air compressor. I stamped my cupcake on white cardstock and colored it with copic markers. Then, I added some baby pink flower soft to the top of the cupcake and set it aside to dry. I added some stitching to most of the layers and stitched my bottoms in place. Then, I stamped my sentiment, cut out my cupcake pieces, and adhered them with foam adhesive.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Niki

Great card. The flowersoft was a genius idea for the cupcake, it reminds me of Hostess Snowballs. Remember those? Or am I showing my age. Hope your day is going splendidly.
