One of the stamp sets that released last week from Papertrey Ink was this fun set designed by Candace called Day at the Beach. It has lots of fun images just in time for summer. I lined the edge of the inside of this card with Green Tea Leaves patterned paper. Then, I trimmed the top of the card and punched the edge with a border punch. I added some stamping along the punched border and tied a ribbon around the front (I cut a slit in the spine to slip the ribbon through). Then, I added my layered my image and sentiment using foam adhesive. I finished it off with some buttons and embroidery floss.
Thanks so much to all the responses to my post about selling on etsy. I like the idea of selling them on a page here on my blog, but I want to see if things will sell before I add the extra work of setting it up here. It's much easier to add things over on etsy.
There was definitely a wide range of ideas for selling prices. I guess my thoughts are that I have put my time and love into my cards and I don't feel I should price them for dirt cheap. I believe that handmade cards should cost more than mass produced, printed cards. I am pricing them at varying prices depending upon the level of difficulty. (A card with a hand stamped patterned paper or lots of coloring is priced more than those without those things.) I am slowly adding some cards to my etsy store (look for more additions soon) and I have a huge stack that I am sending some off to the Cards for Heroes organization as well. If you ever decide you would like to visit my store, you can find a link to my store on the right hand side of my blog.
Thanks again, ladies!
Niki

Good luck with your Esty store. I have been thinking about it as well, but don't have time to do that now with our upcoming move.

Really cute. Love that border punch. I donate most of my cards to a Homeless Shelter for Families in our town. They use a large amount of Thank You notes. Hope you have great success with your Etsy store.

Great card Niki! I just bought that border punch to use on a graduation party invite - glad to see it used in a different way. Are you doing the cards for heroes bloghop over the weekend?
